What’s included with my purchase?

Every website comes with the features listed above. If there is anything not listed that you would like to have on your website, please contact us and we will let you know if it falls into one of the packages. If not, we can provide a custom quote.

What’s not included with my purchase?

We don’t do branding, logo design, or content creation. We will lean on you to provide these assets since you know your business the best.

While all of our sites follow SEO best practices, we are not SEO professionals and can’t guarantee that your site will rank. SEO is a constantly evolving practice that requires a continuous effort.

We can set you up with a new email, but transferring over any past emails is outside of our service offering.

If you are interested in assistance for any of these services, we can refer you to qualified partners that we’ve worked with in the past.

Will my site rank highly on Google and other search engines?

Google takes into account speed, secure hosting, user experience, and responsive design into it’s rankings. All of our sites are optimized for these ranking parameters, which will help your ranking. There are many other factors that are involved with rankings, including many things that are done outside of the website.

We can’t guarantee rankings, but can say that our websites are a good foundation for good rankings. We recommended you work with an SEO professional to further improve your rankings as Google is often changing its algorithm. Working with a professional who focuses on SEO will only help your search rankings.

Will you set up my email?

Email set up is included with our Level 2 and 3 packages. We include setting up one email (yourname@yourdomain.com) and one alias (info@yourdomain.com). We do NOT transfer over any past emails you have, We can refer you to a partner that can help with email migration.

How long does it take to launch a site?

It depends. If we have images, content, and branding all ready to go, we can launch in as little as 3 weeks. Often, the speed depends on how quickly you can provide feedback on each revision. Every package includes notes on the design and 3 rounds of revisions on a demo site. The faster you provide feedback, the faster we can launch your site.

Can you do updates on my site after it is finished?

Yes, we can do updates. We include minor updates for 30 days after launch. We also offer monthly maintenance packages to all of our clients if you don’t want to worry about updating and maintenance on your website. Please view our monthly maintenance packages here.

Do I own the website?

Yes, you 100% own the website. After you’ve paid your last invoice, the website is yours to do with as you please.

Can I use my domain name?

Absolutely. If you have an existing domain name, we will just need the login information for the domain carrier (GoDaddy, etc) or access to the account.

Do you write the content for me?

No, we do not write content or copy for your website. We lean on you for content, as you know your business best. We can connect you with a professional writer if you’d like help creating content for your site.

Are there any other fees?

There are no other fees that we will charge for creating the site. Two fees that you want to keep in mind are hosting and domain name fees. Domain names generally run under $20 per year and can be purchased from providers such as GoDaddy and NameCheap.

Hosting costs vary depending on the quality of the host. We offer hosting in all of our monthly maintenance packages. If you have your own host that you would like to use, we will add your site to your desired host. It is included in all of our website packages.

If you’d like to add additional features outside of any of our packages, we have a list of options with pricing available here. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask us and we can provide you with a custom quote. If we don’t offer it, we can help point you in the right direction.

Can I edit the site myself once it is done?

Yes. Most of our sites are built on WordPress and are easy to edit once they are built. You can find many resources for editing WordPress sites online. This is one of the reasons we prefer to use WordPress. If you don’t want to make edits on the site, feel free to reach out to Farewell Media and we can provide a quote.

What is the payment schedule?

It depends on your payment option. If you choose the standard payment option, we ask for 50% to start and 50% before launch (or at 90 days, whichever comes first).

If you’re on our monthly payment plan, you will be charged the monthly fee for 12 months.

What if I want to add more pages?

No problem! We have a few different add on packages available depending on what types of pages you’d like to add (custom pages, product pages, blog posts, templated pages, etc).
